What is Token?

We have always used Tokens to manage payments with each other. Think of these like Vouchers with a value you can redeem, but often only on the voucher provider’s network. The X11 ecosystem settlement token is like a digital coupon used as a settlement in the X11 network. All services are settlled, in the blockchain, with tokens, but all prices are in your local currency, and all payments can be nominated as tokens or local currency.

Tokens can be stored and transferred through X11 network; only you have access to your tokens. Token transactions cannot be denied or reversed by anyone.

The token is not a cryptocurrency, and it is not tradeable. You can easily get tokens from partners and convert them back to your local currency, such as, Rand. Currently, a token is equal to two South African Rands.

How to Get Tokens?

Users can buy Tokens with cash by visiting various points of sale, such as kiosks, service stations, and supermarkets, or from the app with their payment cards (Visa, Mastercard). Soon, you will find updated and ever-increasing sales locations and X11 Ambassadors from your app’s services menu.
